Singer
SatKirin is a teacher and student of the science of Indian Classical Raag in Northern India. She has practiced Raag with many well-known and talented musicians including: Bibi Amarjit Kaur, Bhai Jaspal Singh, Bhai Pargat Singh, and Ustaad Narinder Singh and Bhai Hari Singh of Patiala Gharana.

SatKirin Kaur performs at concerts and and teaches workshops around the world on the power of Mantras and Sacred Shabds. She recently traveled to South America through nine countries and thirteen cities as a member of the Third Annual Lord of Miracles Tour, named in honor of Guru Ram Das, the fourth master of the Sikhs. The tour was dedicated to helping and inspiring people as Guru Ram Das did throughout his life. Members of the tour brought singing, teaching, meditating, counseling and feeding to all people they encountered on their journey. SatKirin shared her blissful songs and guided students through deep experiences of sacred sound.


Teacher
SatKirin has studied Kundalini Yoga directly with Yogi Bhajan since 1970 in Los Angeles. She has been teaching for 36 years and is also a teacher trainer for Kundalini Yoga. She teaches annually at a variety of 3HO events including Summer and Winter Solstice as well as at Womens' Camp. Her travels in 2005-2006 have taken her to perform and teach in seven countries of South America: Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile) as well as India, Malaysia, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania and Florida.


Artist
Creating sacred music for the mainstream is her creative devotion. Working with esteemed musicians such as Thomas Barquee and Dave Frank, she has created beautiful fusion music for recording as well as live performances.


Devotee
The greatest love of all loves is singing the praise of God in the company of devoted people. This magical place called the Sikh Gurdwara is where this sacred music resonates and resides. SatKirin attends Gurdwara every Sunday to be in the bliss of singing the kirtan of the Sikh Gurus and spiritual sages.


Minister
In 1974, Yogi Bhajan appointed SatKirin Kaur to the position of Guru Granthi to the Los Angeles Gurdwara (Sikh Temple). The position of Guru Granthi is an exalted service for the care and teaching of the Sikh Holy text, called the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. She served the Los Angeles Gurdwara for 28 years. She now is the Guru Granthi to the Manhattan Gurdwara. She teaches the sacred language of Gurmukhi to the adults and children of the community. She has performed weddings and Amrit Sanchar (Sikh Baptism), and Akhand Paths (readings of the Holy Siri Guru Granth Sahib).


United Nations Representative
SatKirin has served for 10 years as a representative to the United Nations Department of Public Information for the NGO of Healthy Happy Holy Organization. Also known as the 3HO Foundation, they serve the mission of freeing people from addictions through yoga and meditation world wide.


Mother
In 1973 Yogi Bhajan arranged her marriage to her husband, Siri Vishnu Singh Khalsa. He is an accomplished business consultant and President of GO Construction New York and sports enthusiast, as well as a Minister of Sikh Dharma. Together, they teach and perform internationally. They have 2 sons sharing in this path of service to human upliftment through Sikh Dharma. Their eldest son, Gurumustuk Singh is the webmaster and founder of the famous Sikh-devoted website: www.sikhnet.com. Arjan Kaur, their daughter-in-law and wife to Gurumustuk, is a Chiropractor and healer with a thriving practiced based in Espaņola, NM. Their younger son, Dharam Singh works for the Kundalini Research Institute where he is currently pursuing his study of scientific forms of healing though Yoga and Sound. SatKirin's grandson, Narayan Singh is 4 years old.
