 July is almost finished and I have finally borrowed my son's laptop and am no longer a computer nomad. The summer had been filled with amazing classes and wonderful music and musicians under the blue skies
of New Mexico. I have met so many of you here and feel your love and inspiration for chanting and learning more.
I was tenting with my husband and son and grandson at Summer Solstice Sadhana. We have been coming for this event for at least 35 years, my sons say they have been coming since before they were born.Held annually at Ram Das Puri in the sacred mountains above Espanola Valley in New Mexico you live at 7,000 feet elevation with about 1,500 camping people for 6-8 days.
This year Ladies Camp was held at the same site just down the hill in an area transformed into SHAKTI VALLEY.Two of my nieces were attending Ladies camp so we made a great procession of carrying the tent intact down to Shakti Valley for their use. It seemed to make sense not to dis-assemble the entire tent so we had the brainy idea to, empty it out, of course, unstake it, and carry it over rocks and ruts. You can see the many people required to transport this palacial tent. It definitely took team work to accomplish this journey down the hill. The guys graciously stood in back so as not to be seen for this Ladies Camp photo-op.
Next you can just feel the bliss of morning Sadhana and our live music as we chanting in the nectar hours 5-6am in the brisk rarified air of Ram Das puri. The ladies voices and expansive energy made for a very fine regenerating Sadhana experience. Both these camps are recommended for those serious in their yoga practice and wish for transformation.

". To be released September. Men will find some great sounds to enjoy and elevate with too.
Second week of August I am off to Galicia, Spain to teach at their Yoga Festival followed by a Kirtan tour in London, England area last 10 days of August. Postings will come to keep you connected.
